This area has been used as a manor since the end of the Heian period (794-1192), and rice and livestock farming have flourished here. In the Uzudo district, where you will be staying, a “rain-making ceremony” has been kept since the Edo period (1603-1868), which is very rare in Japan. Why don’t you join us and think about what we can do to preserve the culture for the next generation?

With many people having to be born or move to rural areas due to their parents’ occupations, caring for family members, job relocation, and other reasons, let’s create the lifestyle that we truly and sincerely desire! We are now preparing to work on creating a community where people can enjoy rural life and interact with the world on an equal footing.

3 Key Points

1Host’s introduction
Six family. Husband, two kids and husbands grandparents. Wanting to work in my own way even though I live in a mid-mountainous area, I started my own business as a public relations consultant. 2) We are also looking for people who like handicrafts and would like to organize the process of making kagari temari with us. Let's make modern prototypes by applying the traditional handicraft making method using rice husks after threshing. If you are good at writing illustrations or have skills in photography, image editing, and video editing, we would like to work with you to create a creative introduction to
3) Youv can make an introduction to rain-making rituals.
