Hamamatsu is located on the border of Shizuoka and Aichi prefectures, the city where Tokugawa Ieyasu rose to power. Located in the northern part of the city, near the Inasa Interchange on the New Tomei Expressway, fireflies can be seen in early summer, and there are rice fields, tea plantations, and lush green nature. At the same time, our village is located at the center of the underpopulated area, so community people always gather around my house. Recently, we opened a new greenery cafe, and feel that here has a lot of heartwarming people.

We interact with various people such as farmers, ice cream shoppers, construction companies, and NPO. etc is related to our way of thinking that connection with those people leads to our enrich life. We also consider it important to be involved with nature, and regularly visit satoyama to play. We do think each day is a precious thing so we aiming for to care about the time with family and a health lifestyle.

3 Key Points

1Host’s introduction
We experienced homestay in Hokkaido with my family of three. This triggered me to travel to five points of homestay located in east side of Japan, North, Okinawa and west side of japan. A seemingly Chinese husband has a weakness for my daughter, a wife has a weakness for good food, and a daughter has a weakness for yogurt, living in a 7DK home with a DIY approach.
2You can interact with people like this!
A vegan Ice cream shop that aiming for high level of self-sufficiency makes me to think there is nothing he can’t do on his own. Powerful rice and wheat farmers whose main business is civil engineering. A local non-profit organization that operates a cafe in the forest. A person who protects satoyama, and local kindergarden, elementary school…there are a lot of interesting people. It is a little far away, but if you wish, you can also interact with people involved in piano production.
3You can experience like this!
Participate in agricultural events and field trips, meet venture founders, play in the river, go trekking, cut grass, visit cafes, help school children, practice breathing exercises, DIY a 7DK old house. if you wish, you can also visit a grand piano production site. Please let us know what you would like to do and what you are good at.

An Overly Fulfilling 4 Nights and 5 Days

This time, I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days with my 6-year-old and 3-year-old children. From before our stay, we were treated with great care, and it being our first homestay with children, we were able to look forward to the day with peace of mind. The area around the house was rich in nature, offering a tranquil and comfortable environment. The host was kind, and when we expressed our wishes for what we wanted to do during our stay, they went out of their way to accommodate us. The various experiences we couldn't have in our daily life and the people we met made it a fulfilling homestay that seemed too short for just 4 nights and 5 days. I would like to participate again! Thank you very much ^ ^
